-What elements do you need to create a society?
-How much time should people donate to work as opposed to having fun? Why?
-What are the best ways to hold people accountable for their actions?


2. BBC- Lord of the Flies- Video

-Take out a separate sheet of paper, find a partner
-While watching the video, you and your partner need to take notes on all the things that may have inspired Golding to write this novel
-Write ANY questions you may have

3. Discussion/Chart paper brainstorm

1. Print the article located under "DYSTOPIA LINK" in Course Documents. You need to have it in class tomorrow
2. Complete the "Survival Test" located in Course Documents. Hold on to it on Thursday, we will go over your results then

1. Warm Up: if you were going to be abandoned on an island, I want you to think about what skills/items would be necessary for your survival. Respond to the following questions thoughtfully.

1. Prioritize and explain the top five items on your "must have" packing list.

2. What kind of preparation could be done beforehand to insure a positive outcome?

3. Who would be a good resource person for some good, common sense training?

4. Compare and contrast wilderness "reality t.v. shows" with a real-life experience?

5. How could one's personal and professional life benefit from this kind of an experience.
